Gameplay is heavily focused on finding the right drops to destroy your opponents more quickly and effieciently, but there is also quite a bit of skill and reaction time involved.I can only recommend it on sale given the discount I got it for. But if you know where to find a deal, this arena shooter is quite entertaining. This is one I'll revisit for sure.. This game is pretty fun! I love blasting the Hell out of those alien bastards with the many different weapons strewn about the maps. An issue I have is that the alien variety is pretty lacking. There is offline play which is really fun but I wish you were able to pick individual maps instead of it playing the same set.Other than that, really fun game.. I saw this little gem by chance and since I liked what I saw, plus the apparent dedication of the devs and an existing loyal but small playerbase, I picked it up.Alien Arena: Warriors Of Mars is a fun oldschool like Arena FPS in a more modern look, featuring martians, robots, drones and humans to dispose of. It's got several gamemodes, online and offline play, you can host yourself, and all 3 DLC map packs are for free.Btw: There are more servers around than I had guessed and players as well. Way more than steam shows because it's a cross-platform game.No prob to find multiple matches. After installing I just played a DM match with bots that I barely won, the bots are pretty good (several difficulties to choose from). Update: You can boost with the strafekeys similar to like Quake, Quake 3 and dodge by tapping the movement keys twice like in UT. Ofc, I still have to get used to the game mechanics and figure some things out.The regular price is surprisingly low and far too low to be on par with its actual gameplay value, especially now on sale it's so dirt cheap, there is no excuse not to buy it. Hence, I bought right away another copy for a buddy. ^^ Just try it yourself; if you enjoy Arena FPS, you'll probably like it :). Alien Arena is a awesome game with a vibrant community. It is a game with humor and skill and there are many game modes you can play. The bots are though enough to give the best a challenge but the real deal is with human players. There are a tons of funny elements in the game, just see the screenshots. It is one of the best games out there. The guns are fun and you better have to find a big gun to be more powerful. Capture the flag is fun too, will you run or do you like defending? Some game modes give you guns so it is just start shooting your enemies. If you have the skill you could try one of the many tourneys (everyone is welcome), try to win one? Be ready to fight through the aliens are not very nice and haunt everyone down with their guns. Will you be able to defeat the aliens, play and find out.... good game worth the .52 cents! can't wait to play with others!. A good arena game , Quake 3 meets Unreal 3 meets Mars Attack style . You have to play a while to know what weapons do what etc but have only played a short while and know I will keep coming back to this one . Have only played the solo game so far and would say the game is really geared up for multiplayer .Good value in the sale as well .. This game is fun. A Quake 3 clone no one asked for, with awkward colour pallets, art direction, and guns that feel like nerf. If you miss the old Arena Shooter days, well, play Quake Live. They kind of perfected the formula.
